Preliminary data suggested Skraelings as the optimal race, but we're still waiting on the reports from further testing.
If it turns out to be true, of course there will be a rebalancing of races, so best to just stick with what you like. Everyone's always trying to do this or that because it nets them a couple extra points of dps in their quest, when in reality the game itself Progresses making all their running around trying to find the legendary "optimal Progression" ultimately futile.
