It probably doesn't say anything because sandwiches cannot talk, but I thought I'd mention then new sonic game coming out "soon" which is aptly titled Sonic The Hedgehog 4. So, what does that mean? Well first it means Sega has the balls to try to pitch a sort of sequel to the last good game in the series, it's only taken 16 years for Sega to finally listen to the public and realize that they don't wanna play this terrible bilge anymore.
But, Sega is notorious for toying with the gaming public and then pulling the old switcharoo on them, creating another sonic game only fit for abject mockery and disdain. Bioware was able to take Sega's mess and make a game that managed to get decent reviews, now Sega has to see if they can top that by making a game that only includes its own fucking mascot.
I'd like to think I didn't care, but I do, I really want to see this fucking game succeed and Sega to throw out all the crap they've been accumulating for the past 16 years. _________________

But how are they going to make this game all about rail-grinding? |

I dunno, they'd have to try to get soap to sponsor them again. _________________

On a separate note, I just noticed that the Sega Dreamcast is in stock at Amazon.com (NEW), and shipping from Amazon (i.e amazon prime applies).
It was more expensive before on Amazon, but it's dropped down to $89.

Unfortunately, the Visual Memory Unit, or whatever it's called is not sold by amazon, so you have trust their sometimes shady marketplace if you want one.
Alas.
I'm still trying to figure out where they found new ones. In a dumpster/landfill somewhere?
on topic:
I'd like to say I'm looking forward to the new Sonic game, however the only one I really liked was the original and Sonic CD. _________________

There's a warehouse full of new dreamcasts that were never sold, thinkgeek sells them too. _________________

You still play sonic games? God, I haven't played sonic since the damn Genesis went out of style.
Sonic can suck it. Mario all the way, biznitch. _________________ Never assume that the person you are talking to is using their real face. sad but awesome.
I couldn't find it on thinkgeek.
I noticed that many of the games are sold by "Warehouse Deals by Amazon", which qualifies for Amazon Prime, and seems to be reputable. many of the games only run for less than $20, but some are more.
I'm kinda tempted to try this out. _________________

I really liked Sonic Adventure. I liked Sonic Adventure 2 less so, because they took all the adventure out of it, plus they took the lyrics of the great songs from SA and changed the music to make them crappy songs with familiar lyrics.
I picked up Sonic Heroes for $5 and it was a total rail-grinding horror. I haven't bought another Sonic game since then, since every trailer for every one showcases the rail-grinding opportunities that will be included. |

I liked Sonic Adventure purely for the horrid camp of it all, the poorly written dialect, badly delivered lines, soulkilling music lyrics, and of course the sonic shower scene, can't possibly forget that. Oh and Deem Bristow, the only other person besides Long John Baldry to do a good Robotnik voice.
The second game doesn't have as much of that "bad good" to it, there aren't as many laughable lines, but there IS the "A ghost's pumpkin soup" which is still the greatest song to ever grace a video game ever.
I have copies of sonic heroes and sonic 2006 sitting on my shelf, I've never played them, I'm almost scared to. Plus, I can't shake the discomforting sensation that I have no business owning these games. _________________

You can't remember things when you were still in your mother's womb, kiddo.
Also, Sonic Adventure was really good. And good music too, TWEED.
Too bad it got too complicated near the end, but the first few action stages are real classics. _________________ "Tis a full fair kelpies daughter's skien whaun ye can but ston on a dherg dbhu an nae see the winter a beinn when its still sping afront."

Maybe it was really good when it first came out of the Dreamcast, but when people got a chance to reflect on it with the Gamecube and Pc versions they bashed it good. _________________

My first console was a genisis. It was a piece of suck whose only redeeming feature was that it wouldn't shatter into a million peices when chucked against the wall. A more infuriating console I have yet to encounter.
I will say this, though. The early sonic games were decent, if a little difficult. But in the end, nothing measures up to Mario. _________________ Never assume that the person you are talking to is using their real face. Must be so sad to miss out on the roots of gaming, some of these systems may be a bit before my time, but my earliest gaming memories consist of an Atari 800 xl, a 2600, and a commodore 64, though I was so young I can't remember which one I played first.
Also don't be fucking dissing on the console that actually outsold the snes...for a time, Sega just doesn't know how to fucking market anything. _________________

Also, goddamn, but I wish I had the money to afford a fully working Vetrex with games complete with the overlays, that'd be some serious retro heaven for me. _________________
